Own Your Interview
eLearning Module
Overview: This module is part of an asynchronous career development course designed for cybersecurity learners enrolled in a bootcamp program. As part of a scaffolded, competency-based learning experience, learners built foundational career readiness skills throughout earlier modules before applying them within this activity.
Assessment: To support more effective learner analytics and performance tracking, learners completed a module knowledge check housed directly within the LMS rather than embedded in the SCORM package. Learners also had the option to participate in a 1:1 mock interview with a Career Coach or complete a virtual mock interview using an AI-based feedback tool to strengthen their interview communication skills.
Tools: Rise 360, Storyline 360, Canva, Microsoft Word
Considerations: Learners range in experience level from recent high school graduates to experienced professionals and many of them suffer from imposter syndrome. I included video clips from alumni panels and learner testimonials to help build confidence in the learning population.
Process: The broader career readiness program and supporting course experiences were developed using the ADDIE instructional design framework. Individual modules, simulations, and learning activities were then designed using the Understanding by Design (UbD) approach to ensure alignment between learning outcomes, assessments, and learner application.
My Role: I developed and implemented all module content, created Storyline interactions and instructional videos, and designed supporting graphical assets using Canva.
