LMS Communication for Better Engagement
Standard Operating Procedure
Overview: This standard operating procedure was developed as part of a broader training initiative for student-facing staff supporting learners within a cybersecurity bootcamp LMS environment.
Tools: Google Docs, Vidyard
Considerations: To better reach learners within the platforms they used most frequently, I designed communication best practices centered around outreach through the Canvas LMS rather than traditional email. Many learners were balancing demanding schedules, overlooking emails, or feeling overwhelmed by the volume of program communications. This SOP helped streamline communication, improve responsiveness, and increase learner engagement by meeting students where they were already active.
